Name Rob JudgesAbout Rob Judges works a fine artist and also as a commercial artist. He is primarily inspired by the look of fading urban signage and typography, the vibrancy of popular music and advertising, the warmth of old Marvel comic books, the symbolism of North American totem poles, and the wit of 20th Century American artists such as Andy Warhol, Philip Guston and Jean-Michel Basquiat. After graduating with a BA in Fine Art and Semiotics from the University of Toronto, he set about travelling the world and has lived in cities such as New York and Tokyo. He is currently preparing for an exhibition of paintings to be held in Spring 2009 and working as a freelance illustrator. He is also one of Tokyo's most versatile DJs and has played alongside a multitude of international DJs and artists.
